Chinese Five-Spice Salmon

Made by: Nick

Despite what many recipes in this cookbook suggest, we seldom have the luxury of time to prepare complex meals. And we know you often find yourself in the same boat. So the next time the world is throwing everything it has at you, this simple but delicious three-ingredient recipe will keep you from mashing that UberEats icon. Serve with a simple mixed green salad dressed with vinaigrette and roasted mini-potatoes.

Recipe

chinese five-spice salmon

Servings: 4

Prep time: 5 minutes (optional 30 minutes to marinate)

Cook time: 20 minutes

Total time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons President’s Choice Black Label Chinese 5-Spice

  • 4 fillets fresh salmon

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

  • Heat oven to 375˚F.

  • Lightly oil salmon fillets.

  • Place fish in a zip-lock bag along with the five-spice. Gently move the fillets around in the bag to completely cover with spice.

  • If you have time, marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes for even deeper flavour.

  • Place fillets on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Beverage pairing

Your favourite white wine. Save a second glass for after dinner. Because you killed it today.

Pickled onion adds a little cool and crunch to these tacos.
